Charity Colouring Book for Adults
This Christmas, gift your loved ones a copy of La La Land, a whimsical colouring book designed exclusively for adults looking for a creative outlet or to simply de-stress.
The brainchild of Nisha Parmanand and Divia Harilela, the project also aims to give back to the community with 85 percent of the proceeds from sales going to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hong Kong.
The 88-page book features exclusive sketches and drawings by creative leaders and entrepreneurs from various fields ranging from fashion, F&B and lifestyle to art and media. They include Andre Fu, Arnault Castel, Aron Harilela,
Barney Cheng, Beatrix Ong, Carl Ng, Caroline Issa, Douglas Young, Feiping Chang, Fiona Kotur, Joanne Ooi, Johanna Ho, Joyce Wang, Jaime Ho Ku and Family, Kevin Poon, Olivia Buckingham, Peter Cheung, Stuart Semple, Tat & Vi Art Duo, Yenn Wong, Zing and more.
The contributors were tasked with creating a sketch that was inspired by their own personal La La Land, a place where they can escape from the stresses of everyday life.
“I was inspired by Stuart Semple’s My Happy Colouring Flip Book for adults. I was amazed at how such a simple task of colouring made me so happy and relaxed. As adults we live such stressful and hectic lives that we often forget to slow down. A colouring book seemed like the perfect creative outlet,” says Parmanand.
Adds Harilela: “Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hong Kong is a very personal charity to our family. Ever since we were young our grandfathers have instilled in us the importance of family and staying together. The Ronald
McDonald House Charities of Hong Kong keeps families together while providing them with unconditional support during their darkest hours.”
