Eating out with friends is always fun and games until someone asks, “where should we go?” One would expect to be answered by silence, but it may take you by surprise that people actually get feisty over what they eat. Before you know it, it has already escalated into a huge debate. When frantically scouring the internet hoping something will save the day doesn’t work, you now have a more civilised option than pulling hairs and starting a fight.
The answer is simple: Taste of Hong Kong.
The 4-day culinary festival, running from March 22 to 25, brings the city’s best restaurants to central’s harbour front. From Michelin starred restaurants to local hidden gem, the line-up features 20 restaurants and it’s safe to say everyone would find something they like.

Despite being the third edition, the festival doesn’t fail to keep food connoisseurs’ mouth watering: slow-cooked peking duck, chicken biryani, tropical fried ice cream bao, the latest Instagram sensation, strawberry watermelon cake, together with over 20 mysterious dishes waiting for their first debut…the list goes on. Even better? Everything is in a guilt-free miniature size so you can keep the food baby situation at bay.

Apart from indulging your tastebuds, you can also enjoy a vast array of drinks, from single malt whiskey, award-winning wine to bespoke cocktails and beer. Even if you’re not one for the drinks, you can still clink your glass (or plastic in this case) with the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit. “Cheers to good food, good wine.” And most of all, you can held your head high for completing the “peacekeeping” mission, at least for this week.
