WOAW and Black Cat Club is collaborating for the first time to launch a 60s Hong Kong theme tattoo and barber pop-up, “The Classy Room”, that takes you back to 60s Hong Kong art scenes. To give a fuller 60s experience, WOAW is decorated as an old-style tea house that could be well from a set from the movie “In the Mood for Love”.
Alfred Nil, the founder of Black Cat Club, debuts a series of American rose in China vase tattoos designed for “The Classy Room”. He is also accepting bookings for his other new collections inspired by artwork created back in the 60s.
Aston Ng, one of the highest booking barber from Black Cat Club, offers Shanghainese barber services which was a hit in the 60s before all the modern beauty salons took over. With the knowledge of western techniques, Aston brings back retro hairstyle from the best of both worlds.
Aside from in-store tattoo appointments and barber services, “The Classy Room” is also releasing merchandises including t-shirts and towels with an exclusive print, as well as a line of carefully curated hair and fragrance products. They will soon to be available instore and online.
