LET THE SKULL & HAND LAMP BY UNDERCOVER AND P.A.M. LEAD THE WAY THROUGH THE DARK

Long-time friends and collaborators Jun Takahashi founder of stalwart Japanese fashion brand Undercover and Misha Hollenbach & Shauna T two founders of Australia-based Perks & Mini (aka P.A.M.) reconvene in 2020 to shine a light on darkness. Produced by Medicom Toy, the new Undercover X P.A.M. ‘Skull & Hand Lamp’ and accompanying capsule were conceived via the groups shared interest in fantasy and romanticism.

A skull with glowing eyes is cupped in an elegant androgynous hand. The lamps could be interpreted as a ‘still life’ of death. Skull mostly associate with sorrow and evil, yet it also represent brightest earthly light that of the mind which is intelligence, as well as the structure we all share under the fleshy masks. The illuminated skull, shines through death, no longer lifeless, brimming with light, intellect and magic.

Standing 16 cm at its tallest, this unique collaborative piece, features light up eyes and rests on a single hand. The skull can be removed from the hand and the brightness can be adjusted using the switch on the back. Two colours of skulls are available now online and in-store, white with yellow eyes and black with purple eyes.
