With customisation and DIY being all the rage, Pew Pew Patches is now available at WOAW store.
With their cute designs and easy iron on patches, DIY has never been so easy.
We recently caught up with the dynamic duo over a cup of coffee over at Elephant Grounds to find out how Pew Pew Patches came about. What we came to find, was something of a surprise to say the least.
Dawn and Danny of Pew Pew Patches
Meet Dawn and Danny, the two heads behind Pew Pew Patches, both met whilst taking a couple of classes together at art school. Dawn studying fashion design, and Danny, graphics design. Literally stemming for opposite ends of the world, the two are an interesting pair. Dawn hails for the heatwave tropical city of Singapore where its summer all year round, whilst Danny's roots come from Greece.
With her bubbly personality, Dawn handles the business side of things for Pew Pew Patches, coming up with the concepts and themes for their collections. The idea of Pew Pew Patches came about during HK Fashion week, where Dawn met a manufacturer and soon realised that iron on patches would be a cool project to start up.
She soon approached Danny, who soon became the creative hands behind the patches.
Born in Greece, raised in both Canada and Hong Kong, Danny is the mind behind the design.
Before studying graphics design, Danny has freelanced as a tattoo artist, graphics designer and is even in his own hardcore punk band.
What's upcoming next is even more exciting, WOAW store and Pew Pew Patches will be celebrating Easter with Lulu's Bakery Collection. Pick some up here.
